Homemade Hair Removal Soap
Hair removal is a tricky business. It is either very painful, very expensive or has a lot of side effects on your skin. We all know the process of waxing that leaves us with hairless body buy tearful eyes. Plus, if you’re ever tried hair removal creams you know that they have skin darkening effects. But, i'm giving tips to make a natural homemade hair removal soap.
Here is a step by step process: ↓
Ingredients:
- Glycerin soap base: 1 bar
- Barium sulfate: 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric: 1/2 tablespoon
- Any essential oil: peppermint/tea tree oil
- Moulds
Process:
- To make the soap, first cut the glycerin soap base in small pieces.
- It can also be grated or sliced thinly.
- Keep water in a pan and let it boil. Now in a bowl, put the small pieces of soap and place them above the boiling water.
- Let the soap melt.
- Since the melted soap can set really fast, add the other ingredients quickly.
- Add one tablespoon of barium sulfate, 3-4 drops of essential oil, and turmeric powder.
- Mix everything properly and pour them into the moulds.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
How to use?
- Wet the area on which you want to remove your hair.
- Apply the soap as usual.
- Keep it for five to seven minutes.
- Scrub it off with a loofah and wash.
- You can also rub a piece of alum on the area after this.
Ingredients uses:
- Barium sulfate is the main ingredient of this soap. It reacts with the hair and removes them.
- Turmeric is also an effective natural ingredient for hair removal. It sticks to your skin and helps the hair to loosen. Also, it has a lot of benefits for the skin, so, it doesn’t leave any rashes or redness.
- Essential oils are used so that they can nourish your skin since we’re using a chemical. If you use alum after the soap, it speeds up the process of permanent hair removal.
Points to remember:
- While this hair removal remedy is very easy, you should always take these precautions to ensure safety.
- Always use a transparent glycerin soap base. If you use any other soap, it may contain chemicals and react with barium sulfate. This may cause skin reactions.
- Use only the recommended amount of barium sulfate.
- Don’t forget the natural ingredients like oil and turmeric. These are important so that your skin doesn’t go dry.
